SUSP is dedicated to providing top-tier initial teacher training tailored to support Wales' evolving education curriculum. Our full-time, one-year Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) Primary with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), delivered through the Swansea University Schools' Partnership (SUSP), bridges academic research and policy with real-world primary teaching. This PGCE Primary course enables you to hone teaching abilities for all primary age groups while deepening your knowledge of Wales' reformed curriculum. You'll collaborate with passionate university tutors and school mentors throughout South Wales to refine and evaluate your teaching methods.
Upon successfully finishing the PGCE Primary program, you'll be recommended for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with the Education Workforce Council, opening doors to Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) positions in schools.
