The MSc by Research in Global Migration offers a year-long personalized research program designed to foster both personal and professional growth. Your migration studies will be shaped through engagement in diverse activities including seminars, workshops, lab work, and field research, along with participation in one of our active research communities. Typically completed in one year (or two for part-time candidates), this program can also serve as a foundation for advancing to PhD studies when appropriate. Our current geographical research encompasses: Sensory explorations of movement and governance, Varied experiences of mobility (work-related migration, cultural transitions, spiritual journeys) and their societal impacts, The study of mobile identities, social structures, and political aspects of movement, Power imbalances and disparities in various forms of migration, Innovative approaches to caring for marginalized groups through compassionate connections with mobile populations, and Expanding ethical considerations for supporting vulnerable individuals.
