The Extended Master of Arts (EMA) in Public Policy provides comprehensive, advanced training in analyzing public policy and decision-making processes across international, national, and regional levels. Students gain a strong foundation in core theoretical frameworks of public policy while substantially enhancing their subject expertise and analytical capabilities. This program focuses on cultivating essential competencies for navigating today's rapidly evolving public policy environment, marked by increasing interconnectedness and transformation. It's particularly valuable for professionals seeking to advance their careers in policy research, advisory roles, advocacy, public administration, or media, as well as for current practitioners in these fields. The EMA Public Policy program collaborates with The Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University. Established in 1997, the Bush School ranks among the top 12% of graduate public affairs programs in the United States, as recognized by U.S. News & World Report. Situated in College Station, Texas, the School operates from the Robert H. and Judy Ley Allen Building within the George Bush Presidential Library Center on Texas A&M's West Campus. This strategic location provides students with unique access to the George Bush Presidential Library archives, exclusive invitations to events at the Annenberg Presidential Conference Center, and participation in Texas A&M's vibrant campus life. As the nation's second-largest university with 66,000 students in 2016, Texas A&M holds membership in the elite Association of American Universities, a distinction shared by only 61 institutions.
