Our three-year Bachelor of Science in Physical Geography is designed for students passionate about focusing on Physical Geography. The program explores key topics like plate tectonics, global geophysics, glacial systems, and environmental change. Swansea University's Physical Geography program draws a diverse international student body, housed on our picturesque Singleton Park campus with views of Swansea Bay.
This flexible degree allows customization through a blend of human and physical geography courses. Students can enhance their experience with a year abroad or an industry placement, available locally, nationally, or internationally.
Fieldwork is a cornerstone of our program. Excursions take students to breathtaking locations like the Gower Peninsula, as well as global destinations including Borneo, the Indian Himalayas, and Mallorca.
Portions of this degree can be studied through the Welsh language.
Graduates pursue careers as Catchment Scientists, Ecologists, Geospatial Analysts, Surveyors, Housing Officers, Meteorologists, Journalists, Policy Advisors, and Academics.
