Our Master's program in Literature, Culture and Heritage integrates the rich historical, cultural, and literary traditions of West London. As an MA Literature, Culture and Heritage student, you'll enjoy St Mary's University's distinctive location in Twickenham, adjacent to Strawberry Hill House - a Gothic landmark that embodies how global influences shape local heritage through its architecture and collections.

You'll have opportunities to work with nearby historic sites including Chiswick House and Gardens, Hogarth's House, and Orleans Gallery. Through immersive experiences like field visits, museum displays, literary works, theatrical performances, and analysis of historical documents, we'll critically examine themes of colonialism, postcolonialism, religious influences, and cultural identity while engaging with challenging heritage sites that address issues of race, faith, gender, national identity, and spatial significance.
