Combine your creative talents with technological expertise to craft visually stunning and functional interior spaces for homes and businesses through this SBID-accredited program. The foundation year kicks off with a collaborative five-week project, allowing students to connect with peers who share their passion while easing the transition into academic life. This initial experience also helps guide students toward their future specialization path. During the foundation year, learners will concentrate on developing essential industry knowledge and practical skills to boost their confidence and understanding of professional standards. After successfully completing this preparatory year, students advance to the first year of the BA (Hons) Interior Design degree.
This interior design curriculum merges artistic vision with technical proficiency, challenging students to apply their design thinking, research abilities, and problem-solving skills to transform indoor environments. The program emphasizes hands-on experience, maintaining strong industry connections through live projects and professional collaborations to prepare graduates for successful careers.
As you progress through the course, you'll merge artistic expression with technical know-how to conceptualize, plan, and execute interior designs across residential, retail, corporate, hospitality, and commercial sectors. The curriculum highlights architectural aspects of interior design, teaching spatial organization principles, functional considerations, user experience mapping, sustainable practices, wellness-focused design, material choices, aesthetic principles, and professional protocols within interior environments.
