In this program, you'll engage in focused research within the specialized field of plasma surface engineering. You'll have access to expert guidance, state-of-the-art facilities, and a collaborative academic environment. Your final research will join the ranks of highly regarded MERI publications—many of which have been recognized as 'world-class' or 'internationally significant'. Our curriculum is built on core values that emphasize global engagement, teamwork, innovative thinking, and creating a nurturing space for your academic growth.
Since this is a research-based program, you'll primarily work independently. You'll receive guidance from your supervisory team, consisting of a Director of Studies and a secondary supervisor, both with specialized knowledge in your research focus. Potential areas of study could encompass high-power impulse magnetron sputtering (HIPIMS) plasma dynamics, thin film formation analysis, and tailored coating development for various applications.
