In this program, you'll conduct in-depth research on a chosen topic within ceramics, glass, or polymer studies. At MERI, you'll gain from specialized instruction, state-of-the-art resources, and a nurturing academic setting. Your final project will join the ranks of highly-regarded MERI publications - many of which have been recognized as 'world-class' or 'internationally outstanding'.
Our curriculum is built on core values that focus on connecting you with global perspectives, fostering collaboration, encouraging innovative thinking, and offering a supportive atmosphere for your academic growth.
Being a research-focused program, you'll primarily work independently. You'll receive guidance from your supervisory team, including a Director of Studies and secondary supervisor, both with expertise in your selected field. Potential research areas might include auxetic materials, biomaterials, advanced ceramics for protection, energy-efficient glass production, medical applications, nuclear waste solutions, polymer composites, and thermoelectric materials.
