Students pursuing a PhD in Finance and Management through the School of Finance and Management's Research Degrees program work toward earning a University of London doctorate. Admission to the finance or management doctoral program requires applicants to possess an excellent Master's degree in a related field with outstanding academic performance. Additionally, candidates need to present a preliminary research proposal showing strong potential for scholarly investigation.

Qualification Requirements
We normally require a 2.1 bachelor's degree (or its equivalent) plus a Masters degree in appropriate subject area plus one reference. In exceptional cases we may accept applicants who do not meet these criteria if they show evidence of a strong Masters degree and/or appropriate level of relevant work experience.
The School's minimum entry requirement for applying for the PhD and VRS programmes is a good UK Master's degree (or overseas equivalent), which is generally in a relevant area to the programme you are applying to. In some cases prior knowledge of a language may be necessary or advisable.

An academic transcript is a record of your study undertaken detailing the courses or modules you studied each year, the mark you received for these and the credit value and level of each module.
