The Global Liberal Arts program equips students with interdisciplinary approaches to academic subjects, fostering well-rounded and critically-minded global citizens. Annually, students select courses from four specialized tracks: Skills Development, Global Studies, Regional Focus, and Language/Literature/Arts. These modules draw from diverse disciplines across the School, offering unique combinations unavailable in other programs spanning social sciences to humanities. Housed within the School of History, Religions and Philosophies, the curriculum shares foundational courses with these disciplines. The Skills track develops essential competencies in critical analysis, project planning, and research methodologies. Global Studies examines worldwide systems while building disciplinary expertise, while Regional Studies concentrates on specific geographic areas. The language component enhances regional understanding through linguistic study. This degree cultivates the broad perspectives, specialized knowledge, and transferable skills necessary for diverse career paths, preparing graduates to thrive in our dynamic global environment.
