Our department boasts over 40 PhD candidates engaged in pioneering research and specialized training across diverse fields including modern political communication, electoral studies, comparative governance, regional politics (focusing on Africa, Asia, and the Middle East), global relations, philosophical traditions from ancient to contemporary thought.
According to Times Higher Education World Rankings, Royal Holloway ranks 9th nationally for global engagement. Our faculty hails from 10 different nations, while our student body represents numerous countries worldwide. International scholars contribute significantly to enriching our department's intellectual diversity and expertise.
