The Philosophy program at Royal Holloway provides diverse research supervision opportunities, with faculty specializing in both Anglo-American and European philosophical traditions, along with deep knowledge of philosophy's historical development.
Our key research strengths encompass pragmatism, Wittgenstein studies, applied ethics, Kantian and Post-Kantian thought, 19th-century German philosophy (including Hegel and Schelling), 20th-century French philosophy (featuring Merleau-Ponty and Deleuze), and classical Greek philosophy.
We encourage potential research degree candidates to initially reach out to a potential supervisor.
