With over fifteen full-time faculty members spanning computer science, mathematics, and social sciences, plus visiting scholars and research staff, the ISG ranks among the largest academic cybersecurity teams worldwide.
Our institution houses an EPSRC-funded Centre for Doctoral Training in Cyber Security for the Everyday, offering an intensive four-year PhD program combining coursework with advanced research.
Having mentored more than 200 doctoral graduates who now hold key positions in cybersecurity, the ISG was established in 1990 to bridge academia, government, and industry in information security. Today, we continue to draw top global talent in cybersecurity, contributing to national strategy development and cultivating future industry leaders.
Royal Holloway holds the prestigious UK Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Research (ACE-CSR) designation.
