This program provides an exceptional opportunity to deepen your knowledge of classical literature and language through advanced study. The MA in Classics serves as excellent preparation for those considering doctoral research in the field.

Offered through a unique collaboration between three prestigious institutions - King's College London, University College London, and our own college - this intercollegiate program gives students access to an extraordinary variety of specialized courses. You can explore Greek and Latin texts, ancient philosophy, and acquire valuable technical skills including papyrology, epigraphy, and palaeography.

Our Classics department maintains a strong reputation for scholarly work that pushes the boundaries of ancient world studies. As a leading center for both teaching and research, we host two specialized research units: the Centre for the Reception of Greece and Rome (CRGR) and the Centre for Oratory and Rhetoric (COR). Faculty expertise spans the entire classical period, from Homeric Greece through late antiquity, with particular strengths in literary studies, historical research, philosophical inquiry, and archaeological investigation. We offer specialized supervision for dissertations focusing on Homeric studies, Greek theater, classical rhetoric, Latin poetry, mythological traditions, and the reception of classical works.
