The Foundation Year equips you to tackle these issues by progressively developing your knowledge and understanding, setting the stage for your university degree. After completing this year, you'll typically advance to the full BSc Health Studies program, with potential flexibility to transition to other departmental degrees.
Offered by our innovative Department of Health Studies, this degree prepares future health professionals with expertise in health protection, promotion, and sustainable living frameworks to tackle modern challenges affecting human and environmental wellbeing.
You'll join an encouraging academic community featuring small-group sessions that foster growth, collaboration, and teamwork. Our interactive learning methods and hands-on experiences will teach you to assess, debate, and implement targeted solutions for societal health challenges. You'll explore the connection between health systems and environmental factors through global health perspectives and systems thinking.
