Exploring health anthropology will broaden your horizons by combining biological and evolutionary studies of human genetics and physiology with ethnographic comparisons of the social, political, ideological, and environmental factors influencing health risks and care approaches.
This program provides the tools to critically examine healthcare through an interdisciplinary anthropological lens, connecting local, regional, and global levels of analysis.
Your first year establishes a strong foundation in anthropological theory and practice, covering the essential fields of social, biological, and health anthropology.
During your second year, you'll focus more on health anthropology while retaining the option to pursue a broader, integrated approach if desired.
In your final year, you'll develop and execute your own research project while participating in our Field Course Module. This intensive 7-day experience takes place at various European locations or through our Virtual Field Course option.
Throughout the program, you'll transition from knowledge consumer to knowledge creator, preparing for professional or advanced academic pursuits. You may also choose to extend your studies to four years by adding a placement year or study abroad opportunity.
