Acknowledged as a premier hub for investigating the languages, literatures, histories, and cultural identities of French-speaking communities, the CDRG maintains an active, progressive, and welcoming research environment with a strong communal spirit. Key research areas in French studies encompass literature and culture from the 19th to 21st centuries, language studies (including sociolinguistics, language variation, corpus linguistics, and discourse analysis), visual arts, medical humanities, mass culture, postcolonial literature, and Franco-Chinese literary works.
