As a social scientist, you'll be dedicated to collaborative, multidisciplinary approaches that enhance community knowledge and capabilities while improving human welfare. Your expertise may apply to academic settings, social research, or roles within public and nonprofit sectors—particularly in fields like crime victims/offenders, rights advocacy, legal conflicts, youth justice, law enforcement, education, social transformation, inequality, and related domains.
The School of Social Sciences, Education and Social Work produces internationally recognized research with both local and worldwide influence. We collaborate with key organizations including research councils, government agencies, the EU, Council of Europe, and major foundations. Our school's studies actively shape policies and perspectives across critical areas such as child welfare, community cohesion, and psychological health.
