The School of Pharmacy (SoP) concentrates its research efforts on crucial pharmaceutical science domains, along with clinical and primary care pharmacy applications. Our investigations bridge diverse scientific and professional fields, with interdisciplinary collaboration forming the foundation of our globally-linked research initiatives that aim to create meaningful patient benefits. We prioritize translating pharmaceutical knowledge into tangible health improvements through our specialized science and practice expertise. These research efforts are organized into five primary themes, primarily supported by UK and European government funding, major medical charities, and critically, pharmaceutical industry partnerships.
Our research encompasses an extensive spectrum, from material sciences to drug development and clinical pharmacy practice. Prospective students will gain the advantage of engaging in a cross-disciplinary setting, utilizing top-tier facilities and collaborating with internationally renowned experts across various research specialties.
