The program covers both prose (fiction and creative nonfiction) and scriptwriting (for screen and stage), encouraging students to experiment with various writing styles before selecting a focus area. Participants will push creative boundaries, embrace fresh perspectives, read widely, and provide thoughtful feedback on peers' work. You'll hone your skills as an independent writer and reflective learner while gaining insights into the publishing industry and business side of writing. Instruction comes from established authors, playwrights, and screenwriters, complemented by workshops with visiting literary professionals, all while contributing to Queen's University Belfast's vibrant writing community.
