The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) is a professional certification in Social Work approved by the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (subsequently referred to as the Social Care Council) and acknowledged across the UK, Ireland, and other regions. This program blends theoretical education with evaluated practical training experiences. Practical training placements are distributed regionally through cooperation with the Northern Ireland Social Work Degree Partnership and major stakeholders.

Qualification Requirements

Graduate
Students with a relevant Honours degree (minimum standard 2.2) will be considered for admission to a shortened two-year course leading to the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree. Graduates in any other subjects (minimum standard 2.2) who have successfully completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) will also be considered.
IELTS 6.5 minimum of 5.5 in all four elements of the test
TOEFL iBT 90 with minimum marks as follows- Listening - 17 Reading - 18 Speaking - 20 Writing - 17
