Anthropology and Spanish students explore socio-cultural distinctions and commonalities, examining their origins, transmission, and evolution. They develop expertise in analyzing the connections between texts and their contexts, engage with discussions about culture and identity (both personal and collective), and hone abilities to integrate and expand concepts from various literary and modern sources. This dual discipline enables learners to examine diverse facets of Spanish-speaking societies worldwide, including literature, politics, society, culture, and language. Core Spanish language modules adopt a communicative approach, utilizing authentic materials to address current Hispanic/Spanish social and cultural topics. The four-year program incorporates a study abroad component in a Spanish-speaking nation, offering opportunities for anthropological research during this period.
