While building fluency in French, students pursuing the Anthropology and French program also cultivate critical thinking about identity, culture, and society. Through Anthropology, they explore social interaction patterns, investigate how group identities form social bonds, and study conflict origins and resolutions across global cultures. Their French studies involve examining Francophone cultures comprehensively - including literature, film, language, arts, and history. Many students spend their third year in French-speaking locations like Martinique or Réunion, conducting anthropological research for their senior thesis.
