The School of Medicine and Dentistry ranked among the UK's top seven institutions across all assessment categories - Clinical Medicine; Public Health, Health Services and Primary Care; and Allied Health Professions, Dentistry, Nursing and Pharmacy - in the 2014 REF. The Institute is particularly recognized for pioneering methodologies to assess public health initiatives and clinical treatments. Their research encompasses efforts to address social health determinants, modify lifestyle behaviors including smoking and nutrition, enhance disease screening, and optimize healthcare delivery with an emphasis on primary care services.
Typically, the minimum entry requirement is an UK upper second class honours degree (2:1). Some Schools/Institutes require a first class honours degree and/or a masters degree. Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in writing and a minimum of 5.5 in reading, speaking and listening. TOEFL minimum score 92 overall with 21 in Writing, 19 in Reading, 18 in Listening and 21 in Speaking.
