The Institute of Dentistry at Queen Mary boasts a vibrant community of PhD candidates and encourages applications for MPhil, PhD, MRD (MRES) postgraduate programs, as well as visiting research fellowships across all research domains where expert guidance is available. Recognized as a global frontrunner in Oral and Dental sciences, the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry achieved top honors in the 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF), with Queen Mary's Institute of Dentistry ranked as the premier UK dental school for research excellence.

Center for Oral Immunobiology and Regenerative Medicine
This hub integrates our strengths in soft tissue and bone research, encompassing Oral Immunology and Microbiology, along with Oral Medicine and Periodontology specialties.

Typically, the minimum entry requirement is an UK upper second class honours degree (2:1). Some Schools/Institutes require a first class honours degree and/or a masters degree. Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in writing and a minimum of 5.5 in reading, speaking and listening. TOEFL minimum score 92 overall with 21 in Writing, 19 in Reading, 18 in Listening and 21 in Speaking.
