The School of Medicine and Dentistry ranked among the top seven UK institutions across all Clinical Medicine units, as well as Public Health, Health Services and Primary Care, and Allied Health Professions including Dentistry, Nursing and Pharmacy in the 2014 REF assessment. Barts Cancer Institute comprises six specialized research centers focused on translational medicine, each concentrating on particular cancer types. As a leader in numerous scientific and medical breakthroughs, the Institute stands as one of the UK's largest facilities of its kind. The research program is organized into these key centers: Biomarkers & Biotherapeutics, Cancer Cell & Molecular Biology, Cancer Genomics & Computational Biology, Haemato-Oncology, Tumour Biology, Tumour Microenvironment, and Experimental Cancer Medicine.
Typically, the minimum entry requirement is an UK upper second class honours degree (2:1). Some Schools/Institutes require a first class honours degree and/or a masters degree. Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in writing and a minimum of 5.5 in reading, speaking and listening. TOEFL minimum score 92 overall with 21 in Writing, 19 in Reading, 18 in Listening and 21 in Speaking.
