This Gastroenterology PGDip serves as both a foundational overview and advanced update in gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition. Tailored for working clinicians, the program deepens understanding of the scientific principles behind clinical conditions and their treatment approaches. Participants will also gain exposure to cutting-edge research methodologies. The Postgraduate Diploma in Gastroenterology is designed for medical practitioners seeking to enhance their knowledge of disease mechanisms and therapeutic strategies. The curriculum covers essential subjects ranging from pediatric and adolescent gastrointestinal (GI) disorders to adult GI conditions. Students will be located at Barts Health NHS Trust's Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, which features two endoscopy training simulators - full-time students receive hands-on training with this equipment. Instruction is provided by globally renowned researchers who will teach both traditional and novel investigative methods.

Degree requirements: A Medical degree (non-UK medical degrees marked on a grading scale must be equivalent to UK 2:2 degree). Other routes: Those with a 2:2 or above at undergraduate level in a Science degree working as a Allied Health professional (such as Dietician, Physiologist) with at least one year experience will be considered on an individual basis. Applicants with Medical or Science degrees below this level will be considered on an individual basis if there is strong evidence of relevant professional experience. Professional experience of working in Gastroenterology is desirable. 
IELTS (Academic) minimum score 6.5 overall with 6.0 in each of Writing, Listening, Reading and Speaking; TOEFL minimum score 92 overall with 21 in Writing, 19 in Reading, 18 in Listening and 21 in Speaking.
