Our program provides a foundation in molecular and cellular biology essential for understanding cancer biology and research. You'll explore advancements in cancer diagnosis and treatment, along with the development, assessment, and application of new therapies. Practical training is emphasized through a research skills module and a three-month lab project. You'll experience the complete research cycle, including thesis preparation, building a strong foundation for a research career.The program is offered by Barts Cancer Institute, a Cancer Research UK Center of Excellence and member of the Cancer Research UK City of London Centre.
A 2:1 or above at undergraduate level in a relevant subject such as Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacology, Medicine from a recognised academic institution.
Applicants with a 2:2 degree will be considered on an individual basis.
 
The programme is open to graduate scientists, clinicians and other medical professionals working in healthcare, the pharmaceutical industry or contract research organisations.
 
IELTS (Academic) minimum score 6.5 overall with 6.0 in each of Writing, Listening, Reading and Speaking.  TOEFL minimum score 92 overall with 21 in Writing, 19 in Reading, 18 in Listening and 21 in Speaking.
