The curriculum covers various psychological therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive analytic therapy, psychodynamic approaches, plus group and family therapies. You'll develop the ability to determine appropriate interventions for different individuals.Through experiential group sessions, you'll gain greater awareness and proficiency in addressing emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges. The program also includes training in social science research methodologies and requires completion of an original research project.Upon graduation, you'll emerge as an effective communicator, capable of articulating your ideas clearly both verbally and in writing.Career opportunitiesThis program primarily serves students enrolled in the LISS DTP Programme's doctoral research training. Students need to have a degree at undergraduate level in a relevant subject. A professional qualification and at least one year experience working in a related area will also be considered. Applicants must be accepted onto the ESRC Doctoral Training Programme based at Queen Mary. IELTS (Academic) minimum score 6.5 overall with 6.0 in each of Writing, Listening, Reading and Speaking. TOEFL minimum score 92 overall with 21 in Writing, 19 in Reading, 18 in Listening and 21 in Speaking.
