The MRes in International Economic Law serves as a pre-doctoral program focused on developing a research-oriented perspective on global economic governance, while equipping students with essential doctoral-level research skills. This program is perfect for those aiming to pursue PhD studies in international economic law, but also benefits individuals looking to deepen their understanding or prepare for advanced research. Students complete two mandatory social science research modules, which include epistemology, research design, qualitative methods, quantitative techniques, and data analysis. Additionally, they can choose from a wide range of elective modules offered in the LLM in International Economic Law program (availability may vary annually). Students need to have a 2:1 or above at undergraduate level in Law. In addition to the other mandatory supporting application documents, applicants must submit the following documentation: two letters of reference, at least one of which must be an academic reference from a staff member who taught you on your most recent course of study (normally your undergraduate degree in Law or a Law-related subject) a research proposal of between 2,000 to 3,000-words. It should identify the question that you will attempt to answer through your research (simply identifying general topic areas or subjects is not sufficient). You should also set out your research methodology (empirical, qualitative, library based etc,) and provide a bibliography of the works that you consulted in formulating your research question. IELTS  (Academic) minimum score 7.0 overall with 6.5 in Writing and 6.0 in Listening, Reading and Speaking; TOEFL iBT: minimum score 100 overall with 24 in Writing, 19 in Reading, 18 in Listening and 21 in Speaking.
