Our integrated BSc in Prehospital Medicine provides medical students with specialized training in this emerging discipline, acknowledged as a subspecialty by the General Medical Council. As the first UK university to offer this intercalated program, Queen Mary University of London collaborates with the Institute of Pre-hospital Care at London's Air Ambulance to deliver this unique opportunity.

You'll develop essential scientific understanding, hands-on competencies, and professional approaches needed for pre-hospital care. The curriculum explores pathophysiological mechanisms and anatomical principles, emergency resuscitation and trauma management, along with crucial teamwork and non-technical skills for safe, effective practice. Through clinical placements with pre-hospital teams, emergency service collaborations, and lectures from field-leading specialists, you'll gain comprehensive experience. The program also includes attendance at major sporting events and other relevant excursions.
