Learn flexibly through online modules alongside colleagues, setting your own schedule and pace. Collaborating with Barts Health NHS Trust, home to the Royal London Hospital's specialized neonatal unit and the London Neonatal Transport Team. Engage with a curriculum aligned with both the British Association of Perinatal Medicine's competency standards and Health Education England's interdisciplinary advanced practice framework. Participate in an elective on-campus summer intensive. Program Highlights The curriculum fosters analytical reasoning within advanced clinical contexts, developing these core competencies: Deliver and champion safe, high-quality care for newborns through collaborative partnerships with families and healthcare teams Exercise principled, transformative leadership throughout the neonatal care continuum Champion educational excellence to foster continuous professional growth and service improvement for neonatal populations Drive evidence-based practice innovations to enhance care quality and outcomes at all levels of neonatal service delivery The program content corresponds with the British Association of Perinatal Medicine's Advanced Neonatal Practice Competencies and Health Education England's Advanced Clinical Practice Standards. This two-year Postgraduate Diploma features eight mandatory modules across four terms, systematically developing the theoretical foundations for advanced neonatal practice through exploration of all four practice domains. Instruction leverages the specialized knowledge of Royal London Hospital clinicians, situated within the hospital's Children's Center. Our program maintains strong partnerships with prenatal, obstetric, pediatric inpatient/outpatient services, neonatal surgical teams, multidisciplinary specialists, and the London Neonatal Transport Service.

A 2:2 or above at undergraduate level in Nursing and experience in intensive care.

Other routes

Other related degrees at 2:2 or above will be considered on an individual basis if there is relevant clinical experience.

Applicants with qualifications below this level will be considered on an individual basis if there is strong evidence of suitable experience.

 

IELTS (Academic) minimum score 6.5 overall with 6.0 in each of Writing, Listening, Reading and Speaking.  TOEFL minimum score 92 overall with 21 in Writing, 19 in Reading, 18 in Listening and 21 in Speaking.
