This accredited MSc Chemistry program offers flexible study options: complete it in one year full-time, or choose the MSc Chemistry (Professional Practice) route with an additional year-long work placement.

Our commitment to excellence ensures instruction by distinguished faculty - our Chemistry department includes award-winning specialists in organic, inorganic, physical, and analytical chemistry.

You'll learn from leading pharmaceutical and medicinal science researchers while gaining practical experience with advanced equipment such as: NMR spectrometers, mass spectrometers, TEM, SEM, and HPLC systems. The curriculum includes four core modules, two electives, and a research project. Part-time students complete these components over two years.

Industry professionals from Vectura and other institutions contribute to course content through guest lectures. The program blends conventional teaching methods with hands-on laboratory work and research projects.

Full-time students can undertake research projects within Nottingham Trent University's chemistry groups or with our industry/academic partners, while part-time students typically complete their research in their current workplace.
