Special emphasis is placed on companion animals and livestock. Hands-on experience complements theoretical learning in our dedicated animal handling facility. Choose from four specialized animal science degrees: BSc (Hons) Animal Biology (this program) - concentrates on domesticated species including pets, working animals, and livestock. BSc (Hons) Zoo Biology - specializes in zoo animals and exotic species. BSc (Hons) Zoology - examines diverse vertebrate and invertebrate species, exploring their biology, evolution, and classification. FdSc Animal Science - offers a practical, career-oriented approach with strong focus on applied skills. You'll implement these scientific principles while concentrating on crucial elements of animal care, breeding, and husbandry, particularly for companion and livestock species, including their housing, dietary needs, and management.
