This research-focused MPhil and PhD program allows you to explore a specialized field of literary studies. Become part of our dynamic School with its vibrant, innovative, and well-supported research environment. You'll receive guidance from experienced supervisors. Our literary specialties span from medieval times to the present day. We typically provide supervision in these key areas: Medieval literature, Renaissance and early modern studies, Eighteenth-century and Romantic era literature and culture, Victorian literature, Fin-de-siècle and modernist works, Postcolonial literature, American literature and cultural studies, Children's literature, and Theater studies.

Qualification Requirements
A 2:1 honours degree or above, or international equivalent, in English Literature or a related field. We also usually expect a master's degree, or international equivalent, at merit or above in English Literature or in a related field.
