Qualification Requirements

A 2:1 honours degree or international equivalent in psychology or a related subject.

We are looking for students who have a minimum of a 2.1 honours degree, but we also require a mark of at least 65%, or equivalent, in the final year research project and a consistent profile of grades at the 2.1 level or above throughout the course of the degree.

The MSc Foundations in Clinical Psychology has a limited number of places available. Applicants who meet the minimum academic requirements for the course will be shortlisted to attend a brief online interview for entry to the programme. Students must be able to satisfy the interview panel that they have the ability to successfully complete the MSc. The interview will ask applicants to consider issues relating to research methods and the critical evaluation and application of psychological concepts. Following the interview, applicants may be offered a place on the programme (subject to satisfying the academic requirements of the programme), may be placed on the reserve list for a programme offer, or may be informed that their application was unsuccessful).

IELTS 7.0 overall (with a minimum of 7.0 in all sub-skills).
TOEFL 100 overall (with a minimum of 22 in listening, 24 in reading and writing, and 25 in speaking).
