Our MRes program offers an introduction to applying design and engineering principles in developing innovative biotechnological processes and products.
Progress in biotechnology, computing, and lab automation is merging with design methodologies to engineer biological systems.
These innovations can yield more eco-friendly alternatives to conventional manufacturing. Potential applications include: creating lab-grown meat alternatives
plant-based dairy products, responsive construction materials, fossil fuel substitutes, customized antimicrobial agents, and intelligent medication delivery systems

A 2.1 Honours degree or international equivalent in biology, chemistry, or related discipline.
We will also consider your application on an individual basis if you have a degree in a related subject not listed above or a lower/non-standard qualification with significant industrial or professional experience.
IELTS - 6.5 overall (with a minimum of 5.5 in all sub-skills)
TOEFL IBT or TOEFL IBT Special Home Edition - 90 overall (with a minimum of 17 in listening, 18 in reading, 20 in speaking, and 17 in writing)
