Our dedication to collaborating with businesses throughout the Tees Valley region and nationwide is demonstrated by our track record of graduating job-ready professionals with strong problem-solving and innovation skills. Students can choose from three pathways to earn their master's degree: MSc Food Science and Biotechnology - one year full-time MSc Food Science and Biotechnology - two years part-time MSc Food Science and Biotechnology (with Advanced Practice) - two years full-time The one-year option provides a conventional MSc qualification, while the two-year advanced practice version enriches your degree with either a vocational or research-focused internship. A vocational internship offers valuable industry experience to strengthen your resume, while a research internship lets you hone analytical, teamwork, and academic skills by joining a university research team. While we can't guarantee vocational placements, we ensure research internship opportunities and provide comprehensive support for students seeking vocational positions.
