The Foundation Year in Law and Social Sciences serves as an introductory pathway to degrees in law, politics, criminology, or sociology for students who currently don't meet standard entry criteria. This four-year program begins with a foundational year, after which successful students advance directly into our three-year degree programs in these fields. Many participants transition smoothly to full degree studies, with some becoming our top-performing alumni.
This Foundation Year is ideal if:
you lack the necessary qualifications for direct degree entry
you need additional preparation before tackling degree-level work
you're returning to education and want to refresh your academic skills before degree study.
This preparatory year equips students for undergraduate studies in law, criminology, or sociology.
Designed for those without standard qualifications or needing subject-specific preparation, this one-year course also benefits returning students seeking to rebuild their academic confidence before degree commencement.
