In this program, you'll examine the scientific, health-related, and psychosocial elements that impact health and safety in modern times.
You'll analyze both current and emerging legal and regulatory challenges while exploring various aspects affecting workplace safety, including legionella risks, land contamination, and air quality concerns.
You'll gain expertise in developing, executing, and assessing comprehensive safety, health, and environmental (SHE) management frameworks for organizations, covering essential occupational health and safety management methodologies.
Key study areas will encompass workplace risk management fundamentals, environmental conservation strategies, and major public health diseases.
You'll enhance your understanding of workplace risk evaluation techniques, hazard and operability studies (HAZOP), emergency response planning (MICP), pollution exposure analysis, and environmental stewardship. The curriculum addresses critical subjects like safety benchmarking, workplace hazard evaluation, and the implementation of ISO 14001 (environmental standards) and ISO 45001 (occupational safety standards).
Beyond theoretical learning, you'll participate in interactive seminars. These sessions will equip you with practical skills to recognize, document, and evaluate workplace safety issues, including occupational risk assessment and control measures for workplace hazards like excessive noise and challenging environmental conditions.
