In the School of Digital Arts (SODA) MA Sound Design program, you'll craft audio for immersive, interactive, and adaptive environments.
Guided by expert researcher-practitioners, you'll investigate topics spanning linear and nonlinear storytelling, interactive media, and virtual reality applications. You'll study in a facility specifically designed for today's evolving creative and digital fields - featuring state-of-the-art technology to help you master professional skills for producing and analyzing sound across diverse digital mediums. SODA additionally provides chances for interdisciplinary study and collaboration within our vibrant creative network of photographers, cinematographers, game designers, and other professionals.

Throughout the program, you'll establish valuable connections with creative professionals and organizations at local, national, and international levels. Visiting lectures and workshops by global industry leaders and researchers will help situate your work within worldwide innovative sound practices.

Qualification Requirements

You should have at least a 2:2 undergraduate UK honours degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. creative/digital arts, management, education, science etc).
Equivalent EU/international qualifications are also accepted.
Applicants who do not meet these criteria will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Other professional qualifications will be considered on merit and/or with relevant professional experience.
Overseas applicants will require IELTS with an overall score of 6.5 with no less than 5.5
