For students who show promise for degree-level studies but fall short of entry criteria, a foundation year serves as a stepping stone – preparing you for Year 1 entry. The curriculum focuses on building academic confidence and essential knowledge for your chosen degree. Alongside core Academic Practice modules that enhance university-level study skills, you'll explore various humanities subjects. Upon successful completion, you'll advance directly to Year 1 of your selected honors program. Career opportunities Completing the foundation year ensures seamless progression to Year 1 of your linked degree. Pursuing a Joint Honors BA in History and International Relations enhances career prospects by cultivating expertise across two disciplines. Graduates may find opportunities in both public and private sectors, including management, education, journalism, media, and government roles. Additional pathways include positions with international organizations, NGOs, political entities, or media outlets. The program also provides a foundation for advanced studies through our MA programs in History and International Relations with Global Communications.
