The LSBU Business School provides research degree programs available full-time, part-time, or through distance learning. Throughout this PhD program, candidates collaborate with research supervisors to craft projects that influence theory, policy, and practice in management, marketing, and organizational behavior studies.
Guided by two research supervisors, students undertake empirical or theoretical investigations aimed at advancing knowledge in their chosen field. They must produce either a series of journal articles or an 80,000-word thesis. Past PhD research has explored topics such as: Factors influencing self-disclosure in digital communications, Women's identity formation and purchasing behavior, Multicultural influences on consumer choices, Strategies for managing brand portfolios, Implementation of Conversational Service Agents (CSAs) in customer service, Corporate social responsibility messaging, and Employee participation in organizational decision-making.
The school actively promotes community involvement, applying research findings to benefit society. Recognizing the vital role of local businesses in London's prosperity, we prioritize research that strengthens this sector.
