Stunning architectural designs. Robust frameworks. But what more do structures truly require? Imagine inhabiting a space devoid of heating, cooling, electricity, lighting, plumbing, or drainage. Picture working in a high-rise without elevators. Consider functioning without telecommunication systems, IT infrastructure, or internet access. These essential systems—and many others—are the creations of building services engineers, who transform vacant structures into functional spaces for human use.
From a project's inception, building services engineers collaborate with architects and design teams to optimize a building's dimensions, layout, and configuration. They also develop strategies for energy-efficient designs that ensure long-term sustainability. Given that buildings contribute significantly to carbon emissions, this work plays a vital role in minimizing environmental impact and combating climate change.
Among all professions in the construction sector today, building services engineers wield the most extensive influence, touching nearly every facet of architectural design.
This program offers comprehensive training in building services and energy engineering technologies, focusing especially on the relationship between constructed and natural environments, contemporary industry practices, and the evaluation of emerging technologies.
Our faculty includes seasoned professionals, many holding Chartered Engineer status, recognized for their industry expertise.
