This program explores how nutrition, daily habits, and exercise influence overall health, wellness, and the avoidance of preventable illnesses. Although nations like the UK and other developed countries enjoy unprecedented life expectancy rates, they simultaneously face widespread chronic conditions, particularly heart disease, diabetes, and various cancers. Dietary choices and lifestyle patterns serve as significant adjustable elements influencing these health concerns.
Students will develop their investigative, hands-on, and scholarly abilities, completing the program with foundational knowledge for careers in healthcare systems, government agencies, or commercial organizations. Designed to prepare professionals for public health or sports nutrition roles, graduates qualify to register as Associate Nutritionists with the Association for Nutrition.
