This program builds both theoretical understanding and hands-on abilities needed to advance and safeguard community health. Graduates will be prepared for diverse positions in health advocacy and community wellness across government agencies, healthcare systems, and nonprofit organizations.

The curriculum emphasizes methods for individuals and groups to take control of their health, along with how policies can foster healthier communities and environments. Students will explore behavioral psychology, health education approaches, and develop skills to evaluate research and conduct studies.

Qualification Requirements

Applicants should either have at least a second class honours degree in the cognate subjects of Health, Social Sciences, Nursing, Teaching, Environmental Health, Health Visiting, Community Work or International Development, at least a second class honours degree in a non-cognate subject supported by evidence of an aptitude for the subject applied for, or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the work environment.

IELTS 6.5 with no skills below 5.5, or an equivalent qualification.
