Expand your understanding of modern global challenges including conflicts, security concerns, and human rights issues. You'll examine both international and domestic initiatives aimed at resolving these pressing matters. The program involves in-depth exploration of major global disruptions including war crimes, acts of genocide, terrorist activities, mass migrations, issues of statelessness, and protections for marginalized groups. Throughout your studies, you will: Analyze how major global disruptions influence the evolution of international legal frameworks Investigate the foundational principles of the liberal world order—democratic values, legal systems, and human rights—and use these frameworks to assess contemporary security and conflict situations
Applicants should either have at least a second class honours degree in the cognate subjects of Law or Social Sciences, at least a second class honours degree in a non-cognate subject supported by evidence of an aptitude for the subject applied for, or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the work environment.
