Nuclear technology spans diverse fields including medical diagnostics, radiation therapy, energy production, defense systems, and facility dismantling. The sector is projected to grow significantly in the coming decade. With global investments nearing 930 billion for new reactor construction and 250 billion for retiring facilities, the UK nuclear industry alone could create approximately 40,000 new employment opportunities.
Your studies will commence with a foundational year shared across engineering disciplines, providing essential knowledge and competencies. After this introductory phase, you'll have the flexibility to chart your academic path, either specializing in Nuclear Engineering or selecting from our range of engineering concentrations.

GCSE Minimum of four GCSEs at grade B or 5 to include Mathematics at grade B or 6, and GCSE English Language at grade C or 4.
IELTS 6.5 overall with at least 5.5 in each component. TOEFL IBT - 87 overall, minimum of 17 in listening, 18 in reading, 17 in speaking and 20 in writing. Cambridge English: Advanced CAE 176 overall with at least 162 in each element.

International Baccalaureate 32 points overall with 16 points from the best 3 Higher Level subjects including either:
Mathematics HL grade 6 (either pathway) plus grade 6 in a HL Physical Science
Mathematics HL grade 6 (either pathway) plus grade 6 in two SL Physical Sciences
Mathematics SL grade 7 (Analysis and Approaches) plus HL grade 6 in a Physical Science
Acceptable physical science subjects include Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Design Technology
BTEC (Pre-2016 specifications): Distinction, Distinction, Merit in an Engineering related subject to include Distinctions in Mathematics for Engineering Technicians and Further Mathematics for Engineering Technicians units.
