This professionally accredited, multidisciplinary program offers hands-on learning and specialized expertise in product design and integrated systems.
Mechatronic engineering explores systems combining mechanical, electronic, and computer engineering—including robotics, digitally controlled engines, and autonomous vehicles. Launched in 1984 as a pioneering program, it maintains such strong industry recognition that graduates often lead engineering teams or advance into management roles.
Your studies will start with a shared first-year curriculum, where you'll take foundational modules alongside all engineering students. These introductory courses provide broad engineering knowledge, essential skills, and an understanding of the field's interdisciplinary nature.
After the first year, the Mechatronics program maintains its interdisciplinary approach, reflecting modern engineering demands. You'll progress to specialized modules in mechanical and electronic engineering, plus control systems, while having flexibility to choose subjects aligned with your interests.
