The Brunel Automotive Engineering MEng program offers aspiring automobile engineers an additional year of specialized study to enhance their expertise, broaden their abilities, and accelerate their path to becoming chartered engineers. Similar to our Automobile Engineering BEng degree, you'll gain comprehensive knowledge in mechanical engineering fundamentals—including mathematics, engineering science, and design—along with detailed insights into modern and emerging automotive technologies. The curriculum covers every facet of automotive development and production, from vehicle design and performance to engine and transmission systems, as well as materials, structural integrity, and safety. You'll also gain practical experience in resolving engineering challenges that emerge during construction and testing phases.

Choosing the sandwich course option includes a paid year-long placement, allowing you to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings. Many students secure employment with the companies where they complete their industrial placements.
